Day 1 - Sydney

Arrive Sydney, the largest city in Australia with a population of 5.1 million. Originally established as a penal colony in 1788, the ancestral history of many “Sydneysiders” relates to the time when a crime committed in England by their forefathers saw them sent to the end of the world as a convict with no return ticket!

On arrival in Sydney we embark on an orientation tour prior to checking into our accommodation where the remainder of the day is free of structured activities. Sydney’s laid-back outdoor lifestyle and physical allure make it one of the world’s easiest and most pleasant cities to visit. Check into your accommodation.

Day 2 - Sydney

We awake in Sydney this morning and our sightseeing tour of this great city includes the Sydney Harbour Bridge and world- famous Opera House. Take the opportunity to have a group photograph on the steps of the Sydney Opera House. This is truly a uniquely designed building like no other in the world.

Today’s Options:

Sydney Harbour Bridge - a heritage-listed steel through arch bridge across Sydney Harbour that carries rail, vehicular, bicycle, and pedestrian traffic between the Sydney central business district and the North Shore
Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb - See Sydney at its best - take the Climb of Your Life to the top of the Sydney Harbour Bridge with Bridge Climb Sydney
Sydney Opera House - a multi-venue performing arts centre in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. It is one of the 20th century's most famous and distinctive buildings. There are 7 different performance venues in the Sydney Opera House that are the Concert Hall, the Opera Theatre, Playhouse, Drama Theatre, The Studio, the Forecourt and the Utzon Room. With over 40 shows a week at the Sydney Opera House there's something for everyone.
Sydney Conservatorium of Music - For those interested in the arts we can take a trip to the Conservatorium.

Day 3 - Sydney

After spending time exploring Darling Harbour and the Botanical Gardens, we visit the Wildlife World and Aquarium.

Today’s Options:

Wildlife World and Aquarium - Wild Life Sydney Zoo is a wildlife park in the heart of the city of Sydney, Australia. Officially opened in September 2006, it is located on the city side of the Darling Harbour leisure and retail precinct, next to Sydney Aquarium.
Sea Life Sydney Aquarium contains a large variety of Australian aquatic life, displaying more than 700 species comprising more than 13,000 individual fish and other sea and water creatures from most of Australia's water habitats.
Sydney Jet boat Cruiser Rides on Sydney Harbour – rides aplenty, from thrills and 280 degree turns at fast speed, to more leisurely relaxing rides to take in the wonderful views of Sydney Harbour. The choice is yours.

Day 4 - Sydney - Canberra 

This morning we depart for Canberra; the home of Australia’s Parliament and the country’s capital city. During our coach trip we keep an eye out as we may very well see a Kangaroo bouncing along – or if we are lucky a Koala. Moments that Matter!

On arrival in Canberra we have an orientation tour which includes Parliament House, the Mt Ainslee lookout for wonderful views of the capital region including both the Old and New Parliament Houses, the court houses, the diplomatic area, the War Memorial, ANZAC Parade and Museum.

Today’s Options:
Guided Tour of War Memorial Galleries - commemorating the sacrifice of Australian men and women who have served their country in times of war.

Day 5 - Canberra - Albury Wodonga 

We farewell Canberra and head to Albury Wodonga a broad settlement incorporating the twin Australian cities of Albury and Wodonga which are separated geographically by the Murray River and politically by a State border. Albury on the north of the river is part of New South Wales while Wodonga on the south bank is in Victoria.

On arrival in Albury Wodonga we use this time for rest, relaxation and wandering around this city which was proclaimed a city in 1946.

Today’s Options:
Wonga Wetlands - at dusk where we should see kangaroos, deer and a platypus. This is a large area of natural and manmade lakes and billabongs. It is peaceful walking through the wetlands with lots of wildlife and nature. The bird hides are well placed and the whole wetland comes alive with sound. This is a great place for relaxing, bird watching and understanding wetlands ecology.
Aborigine Playing Didgeridoo – subject to availability we may be able to listen and watch whilst at the Wetlands. A didgeridoo is an Australian Aboriginal wind instrument in the form of a long wooden tube, traditionally made from a hollow branch, which is blown to produce a deep, resonant sound, varies by rhythmic accent of timbre and volume.

Day 6 - Albury Wodonga - Melbourne

This morning we board our touring coach and depart for Melbourne; the capital and most populous city in the state of Victoria and the second most populous city in Australia. Melbourne is home to a non-stop program of festivals, renowned dining, major art exhibitions and musical extravaganzas.

On arrival we enjoy an orientation tour to view examples of Melbourne’s Victorian architecture including St Paul’s Cathedral, Princess and Regent Theatres, Melbourne Town Hall, Parliament House, the Treasury Building, the Royal Exhibition Buildings and Queen Victoria Markets.

Day 7 - Melbourne

Today is at leisure in beautiful Melbourne and then it’s time to say “See you later Mate” as we transfer you to Tullamarine International Airport for your trip home.
